Lightning struck four people to death in Zomba

Four people from Namalima Village, Traditional Authority Ngwelero in Zomba have died after being struck by lightning.

Zomba Police deputy spokesperson Aaron Chilala has said the incident happened yesterday around midday.

Among the four are three family members.

Chilala said they met their fate when they sought shelter in an abandoned building within the village as it was raining.

The deceased are Luckson William, 30, Patricia Simon whose age has not yet been ascertained, Simon’s 10-month-old daughter Leticia and a yet-to-be-identified man.
