Kondwani Nankhumwa Comes to Aid of 13-Year-Old Boy Who Lost His Hands While In Police Custody

In Mulanje District, Member of Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa has pledged to assist a 13-year-old boy who lost his hands a few days ago.

Nankhumwa made these remarks when he visited the boy and his parents at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.

He assured them that he would provide assistance in any way they needed.

The boy lost his hands at the hospital after developing complications from staying in the police cell for three days while handcuffed.

These events occurred when it was suspected that he had stolen money.

Currently, the police are keeping in custody a fellow police officer who handcuffed the boy and charged him with misconduct at work.
