Police in Mulanje have launched a manhunt for a motorist suspected to have hit to death unidentified man aged between 35 and 36 in the wee hours of today, Wednesday.

Mulanje Police Spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira has confirmed of the incident in an interview with the press.

According to Ngwira, the driver was driving from Limbe heading to Mulanje along the Robert Mugabe Highway.

He said the accident happened at Matuta Village near Thuchila EPA.

Ngwira said due to the impact, the man wearing a blue pair of soft jeans and black pair of shoes, sustained severe head injuries and a fracture on the left arm and was taken to Thuchila Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
