The body of the late former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President John Zenus Ungapake Tembo has arrived at the MCP Headquarters in Lilongwe.

Tembo died on Wednesday morning last week, at a private clinic in Lilongwe, at the age of 91.

The body of Tembo will be laid to rest this coming Wednesday at his home in Dedza District, according to Chairperson of the funeral ceremony Albert Mbawala.

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is expected to attend the funeral ceremony.

The President has also directed that Tembo should be buried with a military honour.
