Malawian on social media have criticized social commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele for asking them to dig into their pockets to fund his planned anti-government mass demonstrations slated for October 27th, 2022.

Early this week, Chisa Mbele who is also one of the people leading Citizens Against Impunity and Corruption announced that there will be mass demonstration for emergency situation. According to Chisa Mbele, Malawians have agreed that there’s no government leading them.

The outspoken critic of President Lazarus Chakwera and his Tonse Alliance government, said Malawians have had enough and it is time to speak to Chakwera in the manner and language he understands better, referring to demonstrations.

However, he called on people and those willing to take part in the demonstrations to contribute a little something towards the protests, a development which did not settle well with a lot of Malawians.

Most of the comments complained that it will be insane for one to contribute towards the demonstrations yet they have no food at home.

Others told Chisa Mbele that he is not fit to lead demonstrations because asking money from people to fund demonstrations is not the way.
