JB breaks silence on her political future

Former President Dr. Joyce Banda, founder of Peoples Party (PP) has ruled out possibilities of contesting again as President in the forthcoming 2025 polls.

Banda’s remarks as other political party leaders in the country are busy strategizing ahead of the forthcoming general election.

In her address, Banda said she is satisfied with President Lazarus Chakwera’s development agenda set by the Tonse Alliance which is comprised of 9 political parties.

She said her focus now is support the needy, Children and the oppressed people in the country.

Banda ruled the country for 2 years from 2012 following the death of late Bingu wa Mutharika.

She then contested as President in 2014 but she lost the Presidential seat to former President Peter Mutharika.
