Information reaching this publication indicate that Police in Liwonde are investigating the murder of a 91-year-old, Mikeyasi Dziwan of Mpepula village in the area of Senior Chief Mlomba in Machinga district.

Liwonde Police Public relations officer Ngwashape Nsume said Dziwani was found by her daughter in a pool of blood in his house during the early hours of Wednesday.

“The matter was reported to Mgodi Police Unit after which detectives and medical officers rushed to the scene. Death was confirmed and postmortem showed that he died due to severe loss of blood,” said Nsume.
