Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Malawi) has called on internal auditors to strive to move with the changing times to position themselves for future challenges.
IIA Malawi president Dickson Chisambira said this last week in Blantyre during the rebranding of the internal auditors’ body.

“We have tried our best to move with the changing times, but when we look at the pace of change, we have seen that we are going into an era that if we will not moderate the change we will not be able to match it,” he said.
Chisambira said they have done research to help the organisation to position itself for the future.
“This will help us to give proper advice and reports to management to implement audit recommendations,” he said.
Chisambira said the rebranding process will assist in providing assurance to its members and other stakeholders.
“This rebranding process will bring new standards to respond to the changes to happen in the future,” he said.
Blantyre City Council mayor Wild Ndipo, who was the guest of honour, urged internal auditors to give proper advice to companies’ management and board of directors.
“We believe the rebranding will bring more change than what they are doing now by giving proper advice to management and boards,” he said.
