A convict who escaped from Mwanza Prison on Thursday last week has been re-arrested.
Assistant Commissioner of prisons, who is also Officer In-charge for Mwanza Prison Geoffrey Tembo has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Tembo, the escapee has been captured at Kunenekude in the district.
James Limiyoni was serving a four-year jail sentence for burglary and theft and was supposed to finish serving in 2025.
