South Africa-based defender Limbikani Mzava says he hopes to bounce back to action soon.
The Flames captain has been without a team since he parted ways with DStv Premiership side Amazulu FC at the end of May this year.
Mzava: Nothing concrete yet
The 29-year-old was reacting to social media reports linking him with a move to Nyasa Big Bullets.
He said: “There have been openings and offerings, but the thing is I do not want to join a club out of desperation.
“I want to join a team where I will be happy and one which will be good for my career.
“The reports that I intend to join one of the big clubs there at home are totally false. I fail to understand why people create such lies.
“In fact, I am eyeing a bigger move outside South Africa, but there is nothing concrete yet.”
The former Highlands Park defender said he has been training with some South African clubs to keep fit.
Mzava has spent the past 11 years playing for different teams in the South African top-flight league. These are Bloemfontein Celtic, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Lamontiville Golden Arrows, Highlands Park and more recently AmaZulu.
Two seasons ago, he was among the top 10 highly valued players in the South African Premier Soccer League.
Mzava captained the Flames at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon this year, but he got injured in the second group match against Zimbabwe’s Warriors and did not take part in the rest of the matches.
