The news about the death of Lawyer, Claret Opara Bassey made headlines after it was revealed that she died while chasing her husband and his side chick in a car. According to The Nation, Claret was called by a friend and informed that her husband was spotted with another lady in a shopping mall. This got claret angry, and she immediately took one of her cars and headed to the mall.

It was then revealed that the husband sited Claret and took his side chick with him into his car and he drove off. Claret who hadn’t confronted them yet chased her husband’s car till they got into the highway. The man reportedly veered off the road into a street, and that was when Claret lost control of her car and crashed with a tree.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the man saw what had happened, parked his car, and ran down to the spot of the accident. He was reportedly tearful and he apologized to her while she was lying in the pool of her own blood. It was then said that the man rushed her to the Navy hospital in Calabar where she was reportedly confirmed dead.The Nation also revealed that some of Claret’s friends said she had been dating her husband Sunday since they were in the University.
