At least 30 houses have been destroyed in Makani Village, Chiradzulu, following the heavy rain that fell on Wednesday afternoon.

The rain came with a strong wind, which caused power outages in many places.

81- year- old Esther Hauya shed tears as she lamented that many of the goods, she uses in her day-to-day life have been completely destroyed.

Chief Makanani has asked the government and well-wishers to help the affected families.
