In Rumphi, flush floods that happened at Kasito river have disrupted transport operations in the district.

Kaitso river connects the district to M1 road and Taxi operators are paying 2 thousand kwacha to energetic young men to help them pass through the angry waters.

The district has been experiencing persistent rainfall and weather experts have warned of floods in some parts of the northern region.
