The afternoon rains on December 13, 2023 wreaked havoc at Nkhwangwa Community Day Secondary School in Thyolo District, causing destruction and unroofing several classrooms.

This incident occurred shortly after the Department of Weather and Climate Change warned Malawians to anticipate heavy rain on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
