Habitual Offender in Zomba Police Custody for Series of Robberies

In Zomba a 40-year-old suspected habitual offender is in Police custody in connection to a series of robbery cases in the city.

The cases include those recently reported at various institutions including Save the Children, Institute for Public Opinion and Research (IPOR) and Care Malawi among others.

According to Zomba Police Publicist, Patricia Sipiliano,the suspect, Steven Laman Hara, conceded that he is behind the robberies with his alleged accomplices who are currently at large.

Hara hails from Chatsalila Village, in the area of Traditional Authority Khombeza in Salima.
