Gwamba, Kell Kay And Ephraim Nyondo Drag Martse’s Brother To Court For Defamation

Jerome Nkhata a brother to the late Martin Nkhata alias Martse has been sued for character assassination by musicians Duncan Zgambo well known as Gwamba, Kelly Kambwiri also known as Kelly Kay and Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo.

The trio has also sued a South African based Malawian prophet George Chikoko for saying that they had a hand in the death of the Hip Hop artist who died on May 23, 2022 after he suffered burnt wounds when a house he slept in caught fire in Mangochi.

According to the court document, the trio is seeking damages for character assassination.

Adding to that they are also seeking an injunction restraining Prophet Chikoko and Jerome Nkhata from further publishing the said claims.

The matter, which is before High Court Judge Violet Chipao, has been filed in Lilongwe by lawyer Jimion Nyanda of Lion Rock Attorneys at law on behalf of the claimants.

The defendants have 14 days to file a response.
