The government of Malawi through Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST) has recruited and promoted 2,599 secondary school teachers.

Ministry of Education Principal Secretary Chikondano Musa has confirmed of the development in a statement seen by this publication.

According to Musa, the recruitment of over 1,000 teachers represents the largest recruitment of secondary school teachers in the country’s history.

“The names of successful teachers have already been sent to all the six (6) Education Division offices where candidates can access the results,” reads in part the statement.

Musa has since urged successful teachers to immediately report to their divisions for employment details and start working this week.
