Govt empowers youth through TEVET

Government has retaliated on the need to empower youths in a quest for the country to realize blueprint vision 2063.

This comes as Technical Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training (TEVET) Authority is holding the first-ever conference in Lilongwe aimed at building consensus on policies and strategies in the provision of skills development in Malawi.

Agnes Nyalonje Minister of Labour has said that bringing together local and international key stakeholders in the sector will help to provide platform to deliberate and share ideas that will see youths empowerment.

According to Nyalonje the much preached inclusive wealth creation will demand vast knowledge among youths so that the country do increase efforts in industrialization and agriculture productivity.

Meanwhile Don Whayo, Board Chairperson for TEVET believes that the conference will help to come up with practical solutions to specific challenges in TEVET promotion.
