A young Ghanaian man named Timoo, who left Ghana to seek for greener pastures in the UK lost his job for the most bizarre reason a Ghanaian could ever hear.

He was fired for infringing on the rights of a mouse.

“My first job in the UK was in a warehouse. One day while working I saw a mouse creeping around and wondered what it wanted in there. So, I went and kicked away.

I was called to the quiet room and given a letter. I thought it was at least a commendation for getting rid of the mouse swiftly.”

“I got home, opened the letter and it turned out I was fired and told never to step foot in the work place. The letter added that don’t I know the mouse I kicked has rights?” – the young man narrated.
