Tabitha Maidi, who is also the LAMU Nursing Association secretary of Student Affairs, says “God is merciful and kind, we must strive to put in our best and leave the rest to God. I have many reasons to praise God.”
Tabitha, who started off as a charcoal seller (kamalasha), and later a Fisherseller, is now a Nursing student at Lusaka Apex Medical University.
Tabitha’s story is touching and encouraging to those out there going through hardship.
When spoken to, Tabitha was full of praise to God for bringing her this far, saying:
“I don’t know who needs to hear this, sweetheart don’t give up, it’s not over yet. Life is unfair but you have to try to fit in the unfairly life.
If God was able to change the life of a Charcoal and fish seller to a LUSAKA APEX MEDICAL UNIVERSITY Bachelors of Nursing STUDENT, do you think he can’t change your pain into happiness? Have faith, hope and believe when you pray, miracles are real to those who believe it will happen.
When I was a charcoal seller (kamalasha seller ) people used to say that I will get married to a kamalasha man.
When I was a fish seller, they said I will get married to a fisherman.
Now that am a student they are not saying that I will get married to doctor or any health worker cause they’re scared that instead of hurting my feelings they will be hurting their feelings…
Some people are well wishers, some are there to make your name look bad regardless. Have patience like a farmer, Learn to clap for your friends when they have made it before you, what matters is that we should all make it.
They say if you are not coming from a rich family let the rich family come from you.
Am happy to say that am proud of myself, All thanks to God and my parents…
Deuteronomy 28 says it well.
Business education/ School education let’s hustle so that we shouldn’t sleep with an empty stomach.
