Four Detained in Connection with Property Theft from Edgar’s Lodge in Mulanje

Police Apprehend four Suspects Linked to Property Theft and Looting in Mulanje.

The individuals, namely James Rabana, Bright Eferemu, Christopher Jeke, and Mozambican citizen Manuel Juwawo, were taken into custody.

They are believed to be involved in the break-in at the residence of local businessman Edson Nachuma and his establishment, Edgar’s Lodge.

The incident occurred following a violent outburst by residents of Limbuli and Muloza trading centers, who accused Nachuma of orchestrating a series of armed robberies in the area.

Tragically, the looting followed the killing of another local businessman named George Moninji by unidentified assailants the previous night.

While the situation has calmed down, tension remains palpable as police vehicles continue to patrol the two trading centers.
