The former President and leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Peter Mutharika, praised the late John Zenus Ungapake Tembo as someone who helped develop the country.

Dr. George Chaponda, a senior DPP official, mentioned that Tembo and the former Malawi leader worked together on different projects.

John Tembo, aged 91, passed away due to diabetes earlier today at Lilongwe Private Clinic.
