65 people, led by former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Director of Political Affairs, Eston Kakhome, defected to the People’s Transformation Party (PETRA) today.

Petra President Kamuzu Chibambo welcomed them, citing this as a sign of eroding trust in the current leadership.
