FND asks ACB to probe source of funds for Bushiri’s Goshen City Project

Pro-opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Civil Society Organisation trading under the name Forum for National Development (FND) has asked the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to probe the source of funds for the Goshen City of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

The development comes barely a week after Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife Michael Usi toured the project in Mangochi-Monkey-Bay.

This has been confirmed in a letter addressed to ACB Director General Martha Chizuma signed by Fryson Chodzi seen by this publication.

According to Chodzi, Bushiri is a fugitive from the law in South Africa where he is accused of money laundering and financial crimes among many others allegations.

Chodzi said with the background of such serious crimes in South Africa, it is only proper that any huge investment by Bushiri must be investigated to determine the source of funding.

Bushiri is yet to comment on the matter.
