Five people are battling for their lives at Kasungu District Hospital after being involved in an accident at Chitete Dam in in the district.

The fact of the matter is that the five were in a vehicle silver in color was hit by another vehicle from behind as it was avoiding a pothole, forcing it to plunge into Chitete Dam.

The five were rescued by a secondary school student and four fishermen.
