Police in Zomba are hunting for unknown woman who has stolen a five months old baby at Zomba Central Hospital this morning.

Zomba Central Hospital spokesperson Fredson Kambeni has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Kambeni, the victim Amina Ligomeka went to the hospital with the said child for treatment.

While there unknown woman approached her with an intent to help in taking care of the child who later disappeared with the child.

Zomba Police spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano has also confirmed of the development and identified the missing child as Anisha Yohane.

The police have since launched a manhunt.
