Filling Station closed in Zambia for selling fuel mixed with water

More than 20 vehicles have been damaged after refueling with petrol mixed with water at Karan Filling Station in Lusaka’s Meanwood area.

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has since shut down Karan filling station while it’s owners are pledging repair the damaged vehicles plus K1, 000 compensation.

The damaged vehicles are currently parked at the Karan Filling Station.

Video footage seen by Kalemba, the fuel nozzles showed litres upon litres of petrol mixed with as ERB pumped the fuel in buckets during investigations.

ERB officers went on the ground and clamped down the operation at Karan Filling Station as investigations into the matter have been instituted.

The incident occured around 21 to 22 hours on Wednesday.
