FDH Bank Mk1 million ‘Kukonza Tsogolo promotion’ winner in U-turn, receives prize money

In what can be described as a twist of events, a man who won Mk1 million in FDH Bank Kukonza Tsogolo promotion has finally received the prize money.

The winner identified as Alfred Makwasa Lucius yesterday refused the money by telling the bank that Mk1 million is a peanut to him.

“I have money. In fact, I am going to buy a car now. There are a lot of poor people out there. Give the money to them, not me,” he responded.

Speaking in an interview with the press after receiving the Cheque, Makwasa who is a police officer based in Chikwawa said he refused the money yesterday because because he thought it was a scam and he did not know about the promotion.

“I indeed responded that way so that if they were fraudsters, they should not dare call me again.

“I have accepted the money and I am so delighted that I have won K1 million as you know how tough life is now. I am grateful to FDH Bank for the promotion,” he said.

Meanwhile, FDH Bank Senior Marketing Manager Ronald Chimchere has since said they will intensify awareness on the promotion to eradicate fears of fraud.
