Former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) broadcaster Steven Maseya has been appointed as Deputy Administrative Secretary of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

The development comes barely days after the party held its National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at Nkopola Lodge where the party leader Peter Mutharika was in attendance.

He will be deputizing Francis Mphepo.

According to DPP constitution, Administrative Secretaries are employees of the party and entitled to salary and other benefits.
