Bingu National Stadium will host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ethiopia and Egypt next month.
This comes after Caf approved Ethiopia Football Federation’s request to use the facility as its home ground.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Walter Nyamilandu has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.
“Ethiopia declares Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe as host venue for its match against Egypt on 9th June. Liverpool fans in Malawi will be delighted to see Mo Salah in action against Ethiopia and, later on in September, against the Flames.
“This is what state of the art infrastructure can offer. Bravo Malawi!” wrote Nyamilandu.
The match will take place on June 9, seven days after Ethiopia and Malawi match.
