Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) workers are staging a demonstration outside the Umoyo Escom office, protesting against a proposed 10% salary increment.

The employees argue that the given increase is unrealistic and unreasonable, particularly in light of the current economic challenges, including devaluation.

The protest has led to a disruption of business activities in the vicinity of Umoyo House.

Workers are chanting songs and expressing their discontent with the salary adjustment.
