Epileptic man drowns in Liudzi River in Nkhotakota

A 34-year-old man named Elias Alikoko has drowned in Liudzi River in Kaononga Village, Nkhotakota, under Senior Chief Mwansambo.

This tragic incident occurred after Alikoko, who was epileptic, reportedly suffered an attack while taking a bath in the river.

Nkhotakota Police Public Relations Officer Paul Malimwe confirmed the incident, stating that the postmortem conducted by health personnel from Mwansambo Health Centre determined that the cause of death was suffocation secondary to drowning.
