Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba has finally declared interest to contest for the post of Vice President in the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) during the elective conference slated for this coming August this year.
Mumba’s decision is against MCP stand that only those members who have been active for the past 2 years are the one eligible to stand at the convention.
The Engineer is schedule to tussle with Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara and MCP’s Campaign Director Moses Kunkuyu on the post.
Meanwhile, it is yet to be seen if Mumba will be allowed to contest at MCP convention.
