Justice Michael Tembo dismissed the case filed by former Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) Chief Executive Officer William Liabunya and Director of Corporate Affairs Videlia Mluwira, challenging their forced leave decision.

Despite their absence, the court proceeded with the matter.

The dismissal prompted Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda to welcome the court’s decision.

Justice Michael Tembo directed the court to provide reasons for the ruling later on.
