Police in Thyolo have confirmed the arrest of a driver, Isaac Harry for hitting two traffic police officers on duty, Sunday morning.

The district’s police deputy spokesperson, Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti said Harry who was driving a motor vehicle, Mazda Titan Pickup, registration number 10351 from Thunga direction to Thyolo boma, swerved to the extreme left due to over-speeding.

Kashoti then said the vehicle hit the officers who were at Grengary-Comforzi Tea Plantation area, conducting traffic stops.

She said the injured officers are currently responding to treatment at the hospital
