Despite making an impression on the music scene for the past year, musician Driemo was yet to have a single music video until Tuesday evening when he released a new sing with its video.
Titled Compensation, the song is a ballad that is all about assuring one’s partner that there will be no heartbreak.
Driemo: The time felt right
“In the song I am assuring a love interest that I will never break her heart and if I do, then I am ready to compensate her with my life,” he said.
In part Driemo sings: “Oh udzandifunse, ndikadzakuswera mtima udzandifunse, kuti mwina compensation, ndidzapereke moyo wanga…dont be scared to love memore, zakale zapita, it is me and you, undiuze pomwe pali mantha ako…”
Driemo said he took his time to release a video because he first wanted to establish himself on the music scene.
“This time felt right since fans were yearning for a video. I made them hungry and now they are very appreciative of the production,” he said.
The artist further disclosed that he is in the process of recording either an album of an extended playlist.
Soon after the release of the song, fans and critics praised the production, saying the artist has a unique approach with relatable themes
