A woman in Chimwemwe township of Kitwe has left her husband after he allegedly caught her seductively talking to her boyfriend on the phone while holding a pillow.

The incident occurred last Sunday when the woman’s husband returned home from a prolonged church service and found her on the phone with an unknown man. When he asked for food, she ignored him and continued talking on the phone.

The husband slapped her, causing her phone to fall into a dish of water. The woman then left the house and later returned with her sister to retrieve a fridge from her boyfriend.

She announced that she was leaving her husband and that her boyfriend was ready to marry her.

While some residents sympathized with the woman, many have sided with the husband, saying that the woman was wrong but at least she got to keep the fridge.
