After a busy day on Tuesday, 29 March 2022, the President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus MacCathy Chakwera had an audience with His Excellency Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Former President of the Republic of Malawi at Sanjika Palace.

Dr. Muluzi represented the State President in Zambia where he attended the State Funeral of Late His Excellency Rupiah Bwenzani Banda, Former President of the Republic of Zambia, on behalf of the people of Malawi.

The development was hailed by many including Renowned human rights advocate Undule Mwakasungula who said, the decision by Chakwera to delegate the former president was an indication of statesmanship, wisdom, and mature politics.
