DPP’s elective conference fate set for June 24

The National Governing Council (NGC) of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is scheduled to meet on June 24 2023 at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi to decide dates for elective conference of the party.

The development comes amid infighting in the party with some top officials calling for the party convention by July 2, 2023.

This has been confirmed in a letter jointly signed by DPP’s Secretary General Greselder Jeffrey and spokesperson Shadric Namalomba.

According to the letter, the Central Committee met yesterday, and decided on the NGC meeting.
