Democratic Progressive Party lawmaker for Mangochi South West Shadric Namalomba has obtained a court injunction restraining his removal as Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.

Namalomba was last month replaced by DPP lawmaker for Zomba Chisi, Mark Botomani.

Lawyer for Namalomba, Felix Tambulasi has told the press that the injunction means Namalomba is back as PAC chairperson at the moment.

Reacting to the development leader of the House in Parliament, Richard Chimwendo Banda the stand taken by Namalomba is not making sense.

Chimwendo Banda, however, said Parliament will obey the court order while waiting for legal guidance from Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda.
