The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has finally secured a new venue for its fundraising dinner and Dance ahead of this year’s elective conference set for July.

The fundraising dinner and dance will be held on March 11, 2023 at Mount Soche Hotel and former President Peter Mutharika will grace the event.

Initially, the dinner was scheduled to take place at Sports Complex at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES) on February 18, 2023 but the event was cancelled.

According to DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) blocked the party from holding the event at College of Medicine hence the postponement.

Meanwhile, the party has asked all party followers and well-wishers to support the fundraising dinner and dance.
