Police in Dowa have apprehended two individuals on suspicion of selling counterfeit fertilizer in the district.

According to Sergeant Alice Sitima, the Dowa Police Public Relations Officer, officers seized 13 bags of the fake fertilizer during the arrests.

The suspects were caught at Dowa Boma and Chezi trading centres as detectives conducted an intelligence-driven operation on December 14, 2023.

The individuals are anticipated to face charges in court soon.
