Deputy Speaker Aisha Adams blasts Tonse Alliance

Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aisha Adams who is also United Democratic Front (UDF) Member of Parliament has blasted the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for failing to fulfill some of the campaign promises.

Adams said this during a rally organized by UDF on Sunday at St-Augustine 3 ground in the eastern district of Mangochi.

In her speech, Adams said Malawians have lost trust in the Tonse government.

Adams claims the Tonse administration is led by a bandwagon of people who have no direction of running the affairs of government.

Meanwhile, UDF eastern region governor Alhij Mkata says it is disappointing that the current administration continues not to honour its campaign promises.

He cited the pledge that President Lazarus Chakwera made that he would resign within two years if things never change during his leadership.
