Demonstrations organised by Human Rights Ambassadors in Lilongwe have led to the closure of shops.

The owners of the shops fear some demonstrators will take an advantage of looting their shops.

Currently, it is known if the demos with go on after another group obtained an injunction from Lilongwe High Court Registry to suspend the protests.

Reports indicates some demonstrators have gathered at Lilongwe Community Ground while another group is marching towards Bunda Turn Off along the M1 road.

There is also heavy presence of police monitoring the situation.
