Dedza boarder post has outperformed its target by bringing in an unexpected amount of revenue in the month of December 2022, alone.

Deputy Station Manager for the post, Lucy Chikhawo confirmed that 3.4 billion Kwacha was collected exceeding from the target of 3.2 billion Kwacha.

According to Chikhawo, they process over 80 trucks per day coming into the country and 20 trucks leaving the country per day.

Chikhawo raised a concern that, shortage of staff and smuggling are serious challenges they are facing now.
