A 10-year-old girl, Abigail Mkwakwa, from Chisinjire Village in Senior Chief Kanyenda’s area, Nkhotakota district, was tragically killed by a crocodile.

The incident occurred on Friday while she was washing dishes at the banks of Nsenjere River.

Sub Inspector Andrew Kamanga, PR Officer for Nkhunga Police Station, confirmed the heartbreaking incident.

Unfortunately, only the girl’s head was discovered floating in the river waters on Saturday.
