Court extends period for DPP to hold elective conference

High Court Judge Simeon Mdeza has extended the dates on which the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was required to hold an elective convention.

The Judge has revoked an earlier order that the DPP leadership should hold a convention within 90 days.

Mdeza ordered the party to hold the convention within 90 days from September 28th, the day the order was delivered.

Meanwhile, the DPP is no longer required to hold these elections within 90 days until further direction from the court.
