Court allows MBC to cover live gay marriages case

The Constitutional Court in Blantyre has granted the wishes of MBC to broadcast live the hearing of an application where some individuals want the court to declare Malawi’s homosexuality laws unconstitutional on its radio platform.

Three High Court Judges gave the ruling on Thursday.

The hearing of the case is scheduled for 17 to 19 July of this month in Blantyre after it was adjourned in June.

Some human right activists in the country want the court to allow same sex marriages in the country.

Meanwhile, Christians across the country have today taken to the street to protest against same sex marriages.
