Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has hit back at former Vice President Khumbo Hastings Kachali of his unstoppable attack towards former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Mutharika accused Chakwera of being a failure and asked him to resign for failing to find solutions to the current economic crisis.

But this did not go down well with Khumbo Kachali who accused Mutharika of being behind the current mess in the country.

However, the war seems to be far from over as Chimbanga has joined the war attacking Freedom Party (FP) President.

“Mzuzu Central Hospital has suspended surgeries due to a lack of oxygen. Former Vice President Khumbo Hastings Kachali should be concerned with what is happening here not trash-talking APM as a Tonse Partner I expected him to be advising Chakwera to cut down on his travels which are remaining resources.

“I will be waiting for your input on what is going on in this country right now,” said Chimbanga.

Meanwhile, Kachali is yet to comment on the matter.
