CORRUPTION WATCHDOGS PRAISED MUSSA AND MUNTHALI’S PRISON SENTENCE AS A LESSON TO CURRENT PUBLIC OFFICIALS

Corruption and social accountability watchdogs has commended the recent prison sentences to former minister, Henry Mussa and Director of Information, Gideon Munthali, as it will act as a stern warning to the current public officers.

According to Executive Director For Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT), Willy Kambwandira, public officers especially politicians should know that no one is above the law and it does not matter how long it will take to face it if they abuse public resources.

Commenting on the same issue while clapping the court for the sentences, Chairperson for National Anti-Corruption Alliance Moses Mkandawire,  has urged both politicians and technocrats to learn and always be mindful that they are holding public offices for Malawians.

Meanwhile the two have however, expressed concerns over the delay to conclude similar of fences and they have vowed to push.
